Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all students have a positive and safe learning experience while attending our music studio. Our policy provides guidelines for behavior that promotes respect, responsibility, and professionalism.
1. New Students
i. It is our studio policy that all incoming students must first purchase individual lessons or the Andante Package (4 lessons) as part of our initial trial period.
2. Student Behavior:
i. All students must follow the rules set out by our music studio.
ii. Students must respect their teachers, fellow students, and the equipment.
iii. Physical violence, verbal abuse, harassment, or bullying towards others is strictly prohibited.
iv. Students must come to lessons on time, prepared with their instruments, materials, and ready to learn.
3. Parental Involvement:
i. Parents and guardians must ensure that their children follow the studio policy and attend lessons regularly.
ii. Parents should communicate with their child’s teacher regarding any concerns, suggestions, or questions related to their child’s learning experience.
4. Enrollment Policy:
i. Students must be enrolled in a lesson to attend.
ii. A student’s age, skill level, and availability determine their lesson level.
iii. Students must attend lessons regularly and arrive on time to receive the full benefit of learning.
iv. Students must pay their fees on time, and any unpaid fees will affect their enrollment status.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy:
i. Lesson cancellations will only be permitted in the case of exceptional circumstances, such as illness, death, or natural disasters.
ii. Please note that cancellations for family parties, trips, school activities, sport games, or work commitments will not be accepted. If a lesson is missed due to any of these reasons, it will be classified as a no-show and will be charged.
iii. Lessons accepted as canceled will be postponed to the end of the package and will take place on the same day and time as the student’s usual lesson.
iv. If you require a refund before your first lesson and you have already paid for the package, we will grant you a full refund. Once the first lesson has taken place, we will not be able to issue a refund for the package or individual lesson.
vi. In the event that a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson will be scheduled at the end of the package.
6. Privacy Policy:
i. Our music studio recognizes the importance of protecting our students’ privacy.
ii. Any personal information collected from our students will be kept confidential.
iii. Photos or videos of our students should only be taken with the prior approval of the parents or guardians.
